The Huawei LUNA2000-5-E0 is an intelligent high-voltage battery module for modern residential photovoltaic systems . It forms the basis of the Huawei LUNA2000 energy storage system and enables safe, efficient, and flexibly expandable storage of self-generated solar power .
The module uses high-quality LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) cells , known for their high safety and long lifespan. Thanks to the modular system design, the total storage capacity can be flexibly expanded from 5 kWh to 30 kWh . This makes the storage system suitable for both beginners and households with increasing energy needs.
A special feature of the system is its module-by-module optimization: Each battery module has an integrated optimizer and independently controls charging and discharging processes. This allows new and existing modules to be operated together without individual modules limiting the overall performance of the storage system.
